I studied at the Medical School of Athens from where I graduated in 2002 and specialized in Pediatrics at one of the largest pediatric Hospitals in the country, the Agia Sophia Children’s Hospital. As part of my specialization, I trained in the Emergency Department and the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. I worked in the Pediatric Neurology and Pediatric Pulmonology Departments. I also dealt both clinically and scientifically with rare metabolic diseases, taking on patients treated with orphan drugs.
I prepared my PhD thesis in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit of the University Clinic of the same Hospital, actively participating in the activities of the clinic, both as a physician and as a researcher.
Since then I have been running the Kidsdoc pediatric clinic and at the same time working in a Maternity Hospital as a Neonatal Floor Supervisor.
I am a certified employee of Training and Counseling in Maternal Breastfeeding from the ”ELENA VENIZELOU” Maternity Hospital.
I am certified for the administration of the Developmental Communication Test “PAIS” (Early Detection of Communication Disorders on the Autism Spectrum).
My role as a working mother broadened my horizons as a pediatrician.
Knowing first-hand the challenges and stresses that families face, I envision my children’s practice to be a pleasant point of reference, where with mutual trust and cooperation we will work together with parents for the health, safety and happiness of children.
I practice pediatrics based on modern and valid scientific knowledge.
My clinical practice has practically proven the correctness of the age-old maxim, which deals with the human being as a whole: ¨Nοῦs ὑγὴς ἐν σόματι ὑγεῖ.¨ Thus, I recognize the need to approach and guide the child and the family correctly in matters of upbringing, and positive parenting is the most appropriate tool for this.
Today’s healthy, happy and balanced child is the best investment for tomorrow’s society!
